“Connecting with God, with People, with Power, and with Purpose”
SMDCOG Youth Group
All students in grades 6-12 are welcome to join us for youth group meetings and activities. We meet several times each month on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm. Students can expect food, games, free time and Bible study/devotions. Special activities are planned multiple times throughout the year, including holiday parties, lock-ins and (a group favorite) Fugitive. Each year, students have the option to attend 365 (state convention) as well as summer church camp at Camp Challenge in Bedford, IN. Every two years, high school students may choose to attend IYC (International Youth Convention). Youth leaders seek to provide fundraisers to assist students in offsetting their expenses for these events. Some of our most popular fundraisers are our "Family Game Night" and gourmet popcorn.
Camp Challenge is one of our youth group's favorite summer activities. There are summer camp options for students who have finished grades 1-12, and high school students and adults also have the opportunity to volunteer. Students will not want to miss the chance to connect with others across the state. They can continue building their relationship with God and each other at our state (365) and international (IYC) conventions.
